Neighborly Honors Outstanding Professionals At 30th Anniversary Celebration And Annual Reunion

WACO, Texas – (Oct. 25, 2011)Neighborly, formerly Dwyer Group, recently hosted its 2011 Annual Reunion at the J.W. Marriott in Indianapolis, where the outstanding office professional and service professional from more than 1,300 franchise locations were honored for their contributions to the company.

Marking its 30th anniversary, a milestone embodied by the pearl, the company presented one service professional and one office professional with The Pearl Award for being chosen as the best across the entire franchise network for all seven of Neighborly brands.

Beth Miller, of Mr. Rooter of Sonoma County, Calif., was recognized as the Customer Service Pearl Award Winner and Joey Link, of Aire Serv of Louisville, Ky., was recognized as the Service Technician Pearl Award Winner.

“I was excited to be able to celebrate these exceptional professionals who have consistently proven themselves and put customers first every day,” said Dina Dwyer-Owens, chairwoman and CEO of Neighborly. “They are the very face of the business to the customers they serve, and are the front line for our brands making a difference in customers’ lives.”

The theme of the 2011 Annual Reunion was “Customers First,” echoing the importance of Neighborly’s dedication to customer loyalty.

A seven-year employee of Mr. Rooter of Sonoma County, Calif., Miller earned the Customer Service Pearl Award through her passion and dedication to the brand and its customers. Miller literally worked her way from the “underground” up, starting from her position as an underground division technician to her current role as an outstanding customer loyalty specialist. Cherished by both her team members and customers, Miller acts as a source of motivation to her team and its culture ambassador.

Similarly, in his near ten years of working for Aire Serv of Louisville, Joey Link won many hearts through his excellent technician skills and outstanding customer service skills. Despite being faced with medical challenges that caused him to lose both legs, Link returned to work for Aire Serv of Louisville with a positive attitude and served as a source of inspiration. From technician to lead technician to evening and weekend dispatcher, Link surpasses job expectations in every role.

As a reward for their exemplary service and their admirable devotion to their organizations, Neighborly honored both award winners with a trip to the Annual Reunion and a seven-day cruise sponsored by Neighborly Vendor of the Year, ReachLocal.

Known the world over for its franchise brands, Neighborly Annual Reunion represented one of the largest meetings of trade service professionals in the country. The Neighborly brands make some 1.5 million service calls to homeowners and businesses and account for approximately $800 million in system-wide sales each year.

Since launching Rainbow International in 1981, Neighborly has grown over three decades to include Mr. Rooter, Aire Serv, Mr. Electric, Mr. Appliance, Glass Doctor and The Grounds Guys in that order.
