WACO, Texas (January 23, 2018) – Dwyer Franchising, LLC (“Dwyer Group”), one of the world’s largest franchising companies of service brands, is the national recipient of the 2018 Malden Mills Corporate Kindness Award. The organization was recognized in a special ceremony at the 23rd Annual Rescuer of Humanity Awards Dinner, recently held in Cleveland, Ohio.
The event sponsored by the Values-in-Action Foundation, annually recognizes local, national and international community leaders, businesses and outstanding educators for promoting kindness, care and respect to students and adults for a better society at-large.
Mike Bidwell, President and CEO of Dwyer Group; Dina Dwyer-Owens, Co-Chair of Dwyer Group; and Stewart Kohl, Co-CEO of The Riverside Company, Dwyer Group’s private equity partner; were in attendance to accept the award.
“The theme of this year’s event was ‘Values Matter,’ and that spoke straight to my heart,” said Dwyer-Owens, who is also the author of the popular business book Values, Inc. “It is our Code of Values at Dwyer Group that supports how we live and lead in business and in life across Dwyer Group and our many service brands. And Riverside has invested in us twice as a private equity partner, embracing how our values deliver value (profits).”
Based on the motto to Live R.I.C.H., Dwyer Group’s Code of Values follow the themes of Respect, Integrity, Customer focus and Having fun in the process. Bidwell said, “That Code is a foundation for business success with more than 2,800 franchisees doing more than $1.5 billion in system-wide sales across Dwyer’s service brands around the world.”
