The Dwyer Group – Founders of VetFran
The Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran Program) was established by Don Dwyer, Sr., founder of The Dwyer Group soon after the Gulf War ended in 1991. The VetFran program is a voluntary effort of International Franchise Association (IFA) member companies to encourage franchise ownership by offering financial incentives to honorably discharged veterans. The Dwyer Group has offered over $1.3 million in discounts to 236 veteran franchise owners.
More than 450 franchisors currently participate in the program, and more than 2,500 veterans have acquired a franchise business through the program.
